How to fix mold on paint around shower ? Possible leak ?

    Its important to uncover where the leak is from so you can fix that. And then you should scrape away the moldy paint and paint over with mold- resistent paint, good luck!

    If it's not a leak it could be that the shower needs to be squeegeed when you finish showering. If the door to bath is kept closed to keep pets or children out the moisture doesn't escape quickly enough. If you have a shower curtain or sliding doors leave partially open after shower to allow moisture to escape more quickly.

    use your vent fan if you have one. Once you figure out the source of the moisture and fix it, use a mildewcide to remove the mold. you may have to replace some of your drywall. Let the drywall dry for several days before re painting with a mold resistant additive in your paint.
