How to keep squirrels off my window frame where I have a bird feeder?

I have a bird feeder attached to my window frame. The squirrels have worn all the paint off one side of the window as well as the bottom of the window. I was thinking about repainting the frame and covering it with plexiglass so the squirrels couldn't get a grip. Your input would be appreciated.

That could be a good option. Also try keeping them away from your window using a peppermint scent. Rodents really don't like the smell of peppermint.

those pesky squirrels will most likely not be bothered in the least by the pexiglass. It will protect your windowsill though.

add cayenne pepper to birdseed before placing in feeder- squirrels can taste the heat from the spice whereas birds cannot.

You may need to move the birdfeeder so the squirrel does not have access. There are baffles and covers to help keep them away, also there are great feeders that are squirrel proof.
