This is a detailed subject because each plant bulbs have diff directions like gladiolus you have to remove in the fall put in dark place and replant spring. Peonies I believe can only be done in August. Your spring Easter plants like tulips etc can be planted right after the blooms die off but may take a year or so to grow.
