Have you tried putting baby powder around the area? That may work to keep them away.
inside or outside?
little tiny ants are not necessarily baby ants...they could be sugar ants full grown....get borac acid in a tube....about the size of a super glue tube. put a drop on the ant trail....they eat it, go back to the nest, share it...and they all die...borac acid is usually bought from an exterminator
You can also get boric acid at the grocery store. I got some today just for the same problem. I call those little devils sugar ants. They also don't like vinegar so you could wipe your counters down with plain white vinegar (it's a natural cleaner). This works well for me. Also find out what they're after and store it in an airtight container. Sometimes they aren't after anything they just want to visit (not to my tea party). If you get really mad you can use one of the ant sprays that work for 3-6 months (just not around any fur babies). Good luck. TeresaC
After fighting the tiny ants around my bathroom sink for months, I finally used liquid Drano, even though I had never had a clog in the drain. But it worked, for whatever reason. And the tiny ants have not returned yet, although yesterday I saw the tiniest spider I've ever seen. I squashed it dead. I think it came from the Mother's Day plant I had sitting on the bathroom counter. Sorry, little Spidey. Best wishes, Norma Brooks.
First you need to follow their trail. You have to bait them to bring them out. I usually set out a paper plate and put out some small bits of cantelope or some small bits of ham. Leave it their for a couple hours and you will see lots of ants. You then follow where they are coming in from. if there is a hole there you will need to block the entrance. I use the spray foam from Home Depot or if it is a small area, caulking it will work as well. Once I find the entrance, I spray all the ants with vinegar mixed with alcohol. 1/2 vinegar to 1/2 alcohol. Kills them instantly and wipes away the scent they leave for others. I also use this as my windex replacement cleaner. Works great on everything and it's cheap to make too! Hope this helps.
Pour dry grits around where the ants are
