I've used putty with pretty good success on the corners of our drywall. Sometimes it won't work of course, but I think it's worth a try!

I bought metal strips that are used for the edges and covered them with joint compond and it worked great!

    Hi Iceqwn,

Chipped drywall corners where? Up at the crown mouldings or down near floor level, or part way up the wall? How bad are the chips? The best patching material is compound - drywall compound just mix it up as per the directions, or buy the premixed one. patch more than you need and sand it back smooth, any pin holes can be filled and sanded out after, put a couple of thin coats on in preference to one thick coat.

Metal external reinforcement corners are a good idea if you need them but there is a bit of work involved in fitting them.

    Good luck
