Has anyone replaced only kitchen cabinet faces?

    I replaced mine several years ago....it's easy if you know how to use a router.....the devil if you don't....no need to remove old laminate if you laminate over it....really would be easier to paint them

    One of my clients did, and she is very happy with them. I painted the bases for her. Home depot had the same exact paint as the new cabinet doors, so it worked perfectly.

    Yes I've seen them left open to display beautiful dinner ware, or other decorative pieces. I've seen the center wood panels replaced with clear glass, opaque glass or decorative glass. I've seen new wood faces put back on. I've seen the old faces painted and put back on. These are all nice options.

    We haven't......but my neighbors (same floor plan) did. They loved it.....until we replaced our whole kitchen for only $1000 more than what they spent. For me, it wasn't just the LOOK that I wanted changed..........it didn't function and flow well.
