Not sure which bricks you're referring to? I had a narrow bricked front path, and widened it by adding pavers in the same color so the path matched the width of my front steps.
Lowe's or Home Depot usually has most anything you need for that purpose.
You can watch in the local newspaper for anyone wanting to get rid of their brick/pavers or go on line to Craig's list to see if anyone has some for free or at a low cost.
I like the older looking bricks, so I look on Craigslist. But you can buy paver bricks at the local superstores like Home Depot.
Also check local stone yards or builders supply (not Home Depot or Lowes), as they many times will have a cheaper price for the same item.
Any large store with a garden supply section should carry them. Stores such as Wal-mart, K-mart, or even Target. Also home improvement stores such as Lowe's or Home Depot. You can also try large garden stores or nurseries. Good luck.
