What keeps hybrid roses from changing to another color? my White JFK

    Check the PH of your soil. If it is too acidic, it will make them change colour.

    If you have cut the roses down too low, past the grafted root stock, there will be pink roses as well as white on your rose bush. Learned this the hard way!

    Becky: so did I! accident cut to low now I have just have the original rose which is four petals. I think I will take the whole thing out and start again.

    Hybrid roses are grafted to a hardy rose stock and if the graft dies down past the graft the original plant will come back.
