This is when I would grab a friend, make a pitcher of ice tea and one of lemonade. Then spend a Saturday morning moving all your stuff around until you have an arrangement that pleases you and has good flow. If your furniture is heavy, borrow a couple teenagers and buy them a pizza when done. I bet you have great stuff and all you need to do is relax and enjoy the process. And don't stress, it is supposed to be fun! 🌴
30 x 50 feet is a nice sized deck! I would arrange your sectional set with a table on one end as a sitting area. On the other end , you could put the BBQ, a small side table for cooking tools, etc...and even possibly a small table and chair set for eating. Lots of possibilities!
I would make some seating that does double duty as storage. Get some seating benches that open on top and can store a lot of stuff. Close them and throw on a cushion. You can hang some plants from overhead on the roof ledge or from installed shepherd crooks and get some more floor space that way. You can use any place on the deck or walls to attach bottle openers, a hook to hang a watering can, bbq cooking tools, anything you have to make space for now. Add a cart on wheels with shelves to move things around as well as store things. Have fun!
I would definitely do as Naomie suggested and have a fun day with a friend or two. You never know what you will come up with! Having someone else to help opens up so many possibilities to place what you and for suggestions of what else you could add to make the spaces more efficient and more beautiful. Make sure you add in some kind of plants.
