Sprinkle cayenne pepper or chili powder around your garden. On sniff and they'll run. Won't hurt the critters or the plants. may need to reapply.

Mix up hot pepper sauce and water and spray my garden with it. Plants included. So far they've stayed away. They must not like the taste.
lol Build a fence with a ceiling and dig under the edges at least 2 feet. Or give them something else to eat like corn cobs.
