this left side has come apart before and after about 3 yrs again. Can't tell if screws broke or loose. Help, I've got to cook for thanksgiving.
Oven rack replacements can be expensive - $35-45 each. Take the exact measurements (WxLxD). Some racks will be interchangeable with other brands, so the measurements are most important. With that, start shopping. First Ebay and Amazon so you know your prices. Then consider purchasing an entire used stove if the measurements are correct. Here you can check Craigslist, including the "free" section. You will be amazed what people throw out while remodeling. Check the Habitat Restore and any and all thrift stores in your area. Finally, keep and eye out for "road-kill", especially on trash day and immediately after garage sales in your area.
If you're going to sell your house in the near future then get your Realtor's opinion as to whether or not it will matter and if it is a problem then buy replacements. If you're not planning to sell then don't worry about it because you might need to replace the oven before then. There are some spray paints designed for high heat, but I'm not sure how they would hold up or if it's safe for oven racks, so be sure to check with the manufacturer.
Try soaking in vinegar in a jumbo lawn and leaf bag out in the yard or bathtub. Worry about resale when the time comes.
