are you asking how to make a dry creek bed for water drainage? or how to make a platform for a mattress?
water runs best on a down hill slope, and may need to "Pond" for absorption. dig your stream out- high point to lower, narrower at top wider at bottom. line with pond liner material, then a bit of sand, then river rock & decorative stones. the catch basin needs a landscape fabric liner so water will absorb into the soil. line with sand & rocks. check your local codes see if it would be permitted before you start.
