Violets in your yard are a pleasant gift. Learn to love something that has long been considered beautiful. Make a little bouquet, tie it with a ribbon and give it to someone you love. When it begins to look like a weed in your "perfect" lawn, remember that nothing lasts forever, and the weed will flower again!
put a "free" ad in the paper. "You dig and you can have". I would gladly dig them up. They are my all time favorite.
Roundup, unless you're near a water source. If it could run into a water source, you shouldn't use Roundup. Roundup kills the plant systemically, right down to the root.
Thanks. Problem is they're all through my grass an taking over.
Check out the label on Weed and Feed, it should distinguish between the grass and flower, but it may not. If not, call your local garden center and ask what to use. Round Up will kill surrounding grass.
