  • You do not need to add soil, this needs to be repotted into a larger container carefully. Purchase the correct soil from any garden center. So happy for you, plumerias are beautiful!

I agree, these should be either in their own pots, a much larger pot, or in the ground. Depending on the size of the Plumeria and the root ball, it may not bloom. I used to have mine in pots, but now I grow them in the ground.

I used to grow Plumeria in Houston and Atlanta - and raised quite a few from CUTTINGS. Knowing what Plumeria leaves look like, I seriously doubt that these small plants are Plumeria. More than likely, they're some other type of plant - probably a weed. Plumeria take 3-4 years to grow before they are large enough to bloom - 3-4 FEET at least. They bloom on thick 'stalks' - just slightly smaller than the main trunk. Check these images to see what young Plumeria actually look like: https://www.google.com/search?q=plumeria+seedlings&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi_7oePjfrTAhXGjFQKHQmKAHwQsAQIaw&biw=1145&bih=616 If the adult plant is alive, with good roots, you might want to top it off and let new growth come out - hopefully to form some branching. See videos on how to grow Plumeria on the 'net for more help. They need BIG pots and proper fertilizer - but don't put a small plant in a large pot. Just keep potting them larger as they grow larger (root ball in particular). They are a tropical plant - and require being brought into an area that does NOT freeze during the winter. They can 'hibernate' in a fairly warm garage, or in a sunny window in the house, or happily in a green house. These grow into small trees in the tropics - so treat them accordingly. Good luck!

I agree....mine is 15 yrs old...has never had baby plants growing along side of it...(I can only wish it had!!) These are prob. something else. This is the first year I made "cuttings" from the branches...I have 3 growing in pots now! Mine was almost 5 ft tall, and not blooming anymore, so had to do this!
