found this on a walk in between some bushes. There was one planted in the ground near it but no leaves or flowers on it. Can anyone identify this and tell me how to take care of it? 
Honestly I would put the branch in a rooting hormone and plant it in a potting mix and see what happens.
Might help if we had some hint as to where you live. That would give others in your zone to help. With it having no leaves and I don't recognize the bark. I live in the USA zone 6.
Could it be a frangipani (sp?). Just stick in ground and it'll root. Flowers are beautiful and the lei is made from the flowers. Very aromatic. Have seen red, yellow, white. Hope this helps.
looks like a plumeria, they go dormant sometimes. Wait and see if it get leaves.
