Yes, it should! But how loose are the joints? Just mildly loose?
It will depend on what joints are loose. If the loose joints are in the wood itself, that should be reglued before you add glass to it. it is not the glass that holds the frame together it is the frame that holds the glass in place. So it is important to strengthen the frame first.
