Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Nov 05, 2014CLR is a great rust removal chemical. Pour on area, let rest and scrub the rust stains away. The reason why the ring appears on the commode is that over time all the scrubbing has scratched the surface of the bowl. Although tiny scratches these will collect solids and allow the hard water a better place to adhere to. Thus the reason for the quick time it takes to get dirty again and the difficulty to remove as the stains are in the scratches. Using a liquid chemical such as CLR and others will soften the hard water and allow it to be removed faster and easier.Helpful Reply
