Take one (1) of the broken strips loose from swing frame. Look closely at the end you removed. Most of these strips have an "arrow" sort of configuration on them that goes into the frame. Take the strip you removed & with sharp scissors, "recut" broken end to match good end. Next place strip in sun til it lays totally flat. Then it will also have stretch & be pliable enough you can re-install the strip.
Insert end into frame & wrap strip over itself on frame as others are, then in a somewhat slanted manner, wrap strip over frame to look similar as installed end while strip is warm & pliable. To make it easier for strip to slide over itself into place, sprinkle baby powder on vinyl strip to prevent it from sticking to itself. Vinyl strips are easier to work with if kept warm.
If you try & just cannot get the above directions to work, you "can" cut a little length off the strip to make it fit without the extra wrap-around of the frame as it was originally. Swing seat will work just fine. Strips re-installed will need to be taunt to same as other original strips are.
If you have questions about this, you are welcome to ask them.
I used duck tape to replace the straps every time a new one breaks. I got some gorgeous chairs that my sister was going to throw out and it has worked amazingly. I just wrapped about 3 layer completely around where the straps were positioned and they've held up for over five years.
