I am do not know what region you are in but I am in the deep South about 20 miles from the gulf of Mexico we have a new home in the country and I wanted color on my porch I bought two amish replica wagons and put one on each side of my porch planted seeds one is growing the other is not I used two different potting soils the miracle grow is still growing the other is dead
The Miracle Grow soil has extended release fertilizer in it and also has a good mix of soil, peat and other amendments. Other soils don't look as rich. I always amend other potting soils until they look richer and less just dirt.
