Any suggestions to Update my Wreath?

This is a wall in my current foyer, which I am updating. The wallpaper is coming down and the walls painted. Not sure of the exact paint color yet, but probably a neutral.

We are renovating our home and changing the style slightly. We have some nice antiques and I am starting to mix in a few painted pieces. Trying to not be so matchy, matchy anymore, want a more ecletic look.

Blue is my new favorite color and I am using the color coral to accent, along with neutrals. I want to update the wreath in the picture. Do you think the style of the wreath itself will work with my new style? can I keep it and just change the flowers, etc?

Any suggestions on a type of flower I can use on the wreath? I was thinking maybe off white hydrangeas (I love hydrangeas and they remind me of my grandmother, who, grew them).

i appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!!!

I make wreaths constantly -- one of my favorite DIY projects. I change the same wreath by season by just tucking in the flowers and leaves. If you go on line and look at wreaths -- pinterest and etsy -- just pick the style you like and copy

using your own colors, etc. I like this wreath and think it would be nice if you added some smaller leaves and small line flowers. It will give the wreath a more professional look and be more interesting.

thank you, Lyn! I did see some things on Terrain.

  • Oh my ! Terrain has some beautiful items, but their prices . . . You have a beautiful wreath, just update it however it makes you happy. Your updating sounds lovely! Hope you will post progress and reveal photos!

The right side of the wreath looks too sparse. Just fill it in with some deeper colored small flowers.

I would remove the old silk flowers and replace them with some newer ones. You can get them in any craft store or your local dollar store sometimes has them. Maybe some fern leaves with a little glitter in them.

I like the shape of the wreath and would leave it bare until the fall.

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. Mlkranpitz, those are very wise words and a great attitude to live by! We could all use more happiness and peace. 😊

I'll post an updated picture, but it will probably be after we paint the walls. Then I also will be looking for ideas on painting the frame of a really big mirror in that same foyer!

You could always spray paint the wreath white and then add some new coral flowers.
