I would consider taking the mirrors down completely. They are probably glued onto the wall and could be pried off gently. Then, sand and paint the wall afterwards.

I agree with Michelle - take them down. I am assuming they keep getting hit by the door opening. You could put a door stop in the floor so the door can no longer strike the mirror.
