I have heard it is possible to make a home made rooting hormone for plant cuttings propogation. But How?

It may sound ridiculous, but 1/2 teaspoon brown vinegar in a quart of water to use as needed to moisten the soil, a pinch of powdered cinnamon in 1/2 gallon of potting soil to stop fungus,and saliva on the cutting to start the rooting process and you are set to go.
