I have tried it with foam wreaths, but will try it using pool noodles. With the foam, I selected a couple of pretty Christmas fabrics and cut them into squares approximately 3" x 3". Then using a Phillips screw driver or knitting needle I laid the fabric over the foam and pushed it into the foam leaving enough of the fabric to create a crinkle look. They turned out beautifully and now I can't wait to try it with the pool noodles!
Any idea that works with the foam forms should work with a pool noodle! Just glue the ends together and voila! If it needs reinforcement, a thinner wire inside should help
Be sure to reinforce the noodle with some heavy gauge wire inside or, in time, the noodle will sag badly. Speaking from experience...
