Is there some type of netting or something that would protect my dill?

You can try bird netting
Try planting marigold around them it may work i dont know what you are protecting them from but i know gugs and pests dont like them
you can use weed barrier over it also.
Big fat catepillars est the dill to nothing-so maybe weed barrier would work, thanks!
Do you have old panty hose? Cut the leg off and use it as a stocking over your plant.
Find out what caterpillars will turn into and then you will be able to find out what they don't like and put that on the soil to keep them from crawling up the plant to eat. Don't kill the caterpillars as they will turn into the butterflies that aren't seen as much as they used to be.
Just pluck the catepillars off when you see them. Put egg shells around the plant too. There is a vast array of landscape netting at any garden center. Just pick one that will make a good tent and not stunt the plants growth.
