What is the best type of paint to use in the bathroom to prevent mold?
We bought an older home several years ago & it doesn't have an air vent to help prevent moisture (no place to actually put one either). We keep the door open when showering, but that hasn't helped. Over the years the walls & cabinets are stained with mold (I've used bleach, but but the stains are still there) & the paint is peeling / cracking on the walls & cabinets as well. Oh & the walls are paneling & it goes halfway up the wall in the shower / tub. We don't have the money to replace the walls at the moment, but if we could find a good moisture resistance paint to help us get by for the moment, that would be great!

Perma white kitchen and bath paint. We own rentals, it's all I use in bathrooms. In one rental there was no mold in the bathroom, but the hallway was covered. The only way tenants use a bathroom fan is if it's wired into the light switch.
Most home centers carry a special Kitchen/Bath bath that is made to hold up to moisture really well. I would prime your walls first, then use that type of paint for best results.
