Sky pencil Japanese Hollies grow very tall and straight up.
Swedish columnar are also pretty small.
I have used cedar trees in the past. Works great and grow fast n.

as long as it isn't a cedar type.
I am doing arborvitaes in a small yard on a fence line for windbreak as we get a lot of wind here. These are quite common in our area for this use as well as creates privacy.
