Use fine steel wool and a mild detergent to wash the furniture and remove the rust. Spray or brush paint the metal with Rustoleum. Retouch or repainted the next year. Best wishes 😇
Sandpaper off the rust and be sure to remove all then paint with rustolium
Use a fine grit sandpaper (150 -200 grit) to remove the rust and feather the edges. Spray paint with a rust inhibiting primer. Then spray with your color. Several light coats will get you a smooth finish. Without the primer the rust will come back.
The best way that I have found is sand it off and paint it with Rustoleum.
