What do you normally do for a slat water pool?

It depends on how long you are going to be gone, but usually if it's only for a week or two, you don't need to do a thing. Salt water pools are great in that they are low maintenance!! This is our fourth year to have one and we don't do much at all. You will probably need to sweep it and maybe backwash the system when you get home, but that's about it. Leave the pump running for at least 12 hours a day even when you are gone and it will take care of itself!
