Although they are fabulous bug eaters, I do not want them indoors. Is there any odor or sound that deters them?

They don't like the smell of phenol. If you spray some supermarket bought white phenol, that should deter them from hanging out in your attic. Good luck!

if you can find how they are getting in screen it off after they all leave so they don't come back.

BUY A CAN OF DOGGIE OFF.... THE STUFF YOU SPRAY TO KEEP DOGS OFF YOUR FURNITURE. SPRAY THAT IN AND ON THE ATTIC CEILING THE BATS DON'T LIKE IT AND THEY WILL NOT STAY ON THE WOOD OR CEILING.

  • Find out where they are getting in and fix it. If bats are getting in, so are other creatures, and could create more costly problems.

I think that before spray, you have to figure out how they are getting in - because likely if you fix that, you don't have a problem.
