compressed air, then a damp cloth.
Go to an office supply store and buy a can of compressed air. It is designed to do just this.
I have also found that using a can of pressurized air helps get rid of 'stuff' that might have fallen in between keys!
If it's the keys that are dirty you can pop them off for cleaning. I used a small flat tipped screw driver and very little pressure to remove 2 keys at a time. (Two seems to give a little more room to work on the next keys but not so many that you forget where they go.) Clean all sides of the keys and replace the one on the left. Pop off next 2 then replace right side key from original 2 removed. I used a qtip dipped in alcohol to disinfect also. By taking the keys off, you can clean beneath the keys too.
