With no money in our budget for new outdoor furniture I knew we had to be creative with what we already had. Would you believe my neighbor asked me to help her put this patio set in the trash! Now that our brick patio is almost done I knew exactly where we could put it :). All I needed to do was give this set a little refresh.
Over time, the white enamel paint that was covering our patio set had started to rust and peel it’s paint. I also didn’t love how much the white paint of this patio furniture stood out when it was in the yard. We had recently spray painted our dining room chandelier and I was so happy with how it had turned out that I decided to paint this patio set the same color.
I sanded off the peeling paint and rust as best as I could with a wire brush.
After laying down an old sheet I started spray painting each piece one at a time. The spray paint dries really quickly and I was able to bring the vintage patio set up to our brick patio in just a few hours. I originally bought 4 cans of spray paint but in the end I needed 6 and a half cans to finish the job.
We couldn't be happier with how this patio set turned out and for just a few hours and less than $50 it was totally worth it!!! I love this paint! I use this color on loads of items in my house. I do take a copper paint in a small bottle purchased from michaels and do a dry brush on edges to take it one step closer to true “oil rubbed”. Great job.

I used that paint on all my light switch plates. It was cheaper than buying all new, and I love how this paint covers defects and scratches.
