Can you be more specific? What rooms, what size items, etc? There are a multitude of solutions but few work for all needs!

We lived in a small house for 18 years, with tiny closets and a teeny-tiny pantry that was only a few inches deep. I installed a vinyl shelf unit on the pantry door which doubled the space. I put another one on the back of a closet door for paperback books. We got closet organizers with dual rods and shelves, and we cut a door into the attic that was above our garage, giving us walk-in storage space. When we built our present house, I told the builder I wanted tons of storage and big walk-in closets. While we were trying to sell our old one, we rented a storage space and it was stuffed to the rafters with boxes of books and other accumulated possessions. Try YouTube or This Old House magazine for more specific ideas.

Use the space under your beds....make rolling storage out of old dresser drawers. Perfect for clothing, shoes, linens, toys, etc.
