Mary Beth, I would be extremely cautious about trying to do this by yourself. Years ago, I had a neighbor who tried a DIY kit for her cast iron bathtub. It was a disaster! I couldn't believe how awful it looked and she was an accomplished DIYer. My uncle has a porcelain refinishing business. I've got 2 cast iron tubs that need help. He is going to visit my parents this summer. They only live about 1-1/2 hours away. Bless him, he said he would come and do my tubs for me.
