A No Sew or Not So -Good Canopy Alternative by Michelle Masterson
I am very impressed with those of you who can sew even at a beginners level. I wish I had the ability to sew! I dream about the pillow covers and curtains I could make! I do know my limitations, and sewing was not in my portfolio of talents. I had this awesome bedroom with cathedral cedar ceilings so my hubby bought me a queen canopy bed.
As I lied there on the bed I thought, “How, can I make a curtain/valance? I can’t sew. Think!” I said to myself repeatedly! It hit me about 3 days later!

Put 2 sided Velcro inside canopy frame.
Dust ruffle from a queen bed. From the edge of the dust ruffle seam, I cut the material out leaving only the ruffle part.
I Velcro-ed curtain sheers and will use tie backs when needed.
Enjoyed the project?

Thanks Ladies! I'm excited you found value in this idea! I seriously would lay on my bed about 3 days just looking up there thinking . I have that brain that is to stubborn not to be stumped. The real bonus is how many people this brainstorming helped! I'll be posting many of my brain storms (some average and some great post) on my new blog. https://diycoffeecouturier.com or find me on Pintrest https://www.pinterest.com/Mishelley50/pins/
I sure would love a "Share" !
