It can be overwhelming, we just moved into our house a little over a year ago and we looked through tons of home magazines and online pictures and we pieced together what we liked from those to figure it out. My advice is to look at sites like houzz.com, this one (hometalk), and pinterest and search master bedrooms. Then find a color scheme that you like.

You can also get some paint chips, and put them on the wall for awhile to decide which one you like in the room, lighting can change the color.
