How do I fix/replace interior stairs that bounce when walking on them?

Our steps up to our second floor actually move when walking on them. We've added support under them but there has to be a way to fix/replace them without damaging anything around them.

What do you mean by added supports? I've used shims. and I've found that if there is s 1/4" gap, then you need to force in a bit larger shim, otherwise they just wiggle out.
You might need new stair treds. Can you post a photo?
