Check with your local HD or Lowes....there is a patch mix you can purchase for simple repairs. Ask for advice though. Best of luck.

At big box home stores sealant is available for repairing chips and cracks in driveways (small areas). I suppose it is applied like spackle is when repairing drywall. Consider having your driveway sealed by a reputable company in your area. It will cost but should last for quite a while.

Once again, I agree with Gvargo1959. :) We had a professional look at our driveway. The were able to mend the cracks and do a top (skim??) coating. That was 5 years ago and it still looks good. Interesting side note is that we had a old, unused patio in the back of our house that was never used but looked terrible (we're on a corner so we use the side for a patio) We asked the company to include that part in the quote but they pour it when they came. The owner came out and It turned out that while he DID write it down, he forgot to include it in the price. Because it was his mistake, he had another truck come that had 'extra' asphalt on it. He had them do that back patio and didn't charge us because it was his mistake. Do you think we'd always recommend his company. You bet!
