My Ugly Bird Bath

I've had a cement bird-feeder for many years which could use a bit of refurbishing. I decided I would use glass gems and some broken dishes to create a mosaic. I bought the recommended white thin-set and began to work. And it was then I realized it is no easy task. I don't know how they do it and keep it neat and clean! I made a huge mess and what I envisioned and what I ended up with were far apart. Hats off to mosaic artists!

I separated the 2 parts and painted them.
I first separated the 2 parts and painted them a pale beige color. This was the easy part.
My very messy work.
