Marine paint is epoxy based and there are several steps involved. It would work if your willing to put in the time. The Rustoleum and Homax tub and tile kits available are also epoxy based and easier to apply.
I haven't tried the Homax or the marine paint, but the rustoleum product started peeling with in a year. And Followed the instructions exactly
