It's about 20 years old. Tree removed from center a few years ago, then new wood added.

Are you wanting it all to match (ie not look patched) ? If so, consider weathering the new to match the old using a cider vinegar/steel wool 'stain'. There are many examples of how to weather new wood on Pinterest.

I scrubbed the cedar exterior of my house with a Simple Green solution and scrub brush- turned out great.

If it's twenty years old, you had better check out the foundation and underpinnings. And if the tree was cut down but the roots left, you need to make sure the tree is not growing back or sending out shoots for new trees. Very important, be sure to have a termite inspection. 😇
