How do you clean a stained roll top desk
It's an old dirty roll top desk. Just want to clean it up.
I put in a cup of vinegar and run a small load of cool water.
I use a cup full of vinegar and a cap full of bleach to every load of wash. Yes, even dark colors. It makes our clothes smell amazing and it keeps my washing machine clean! I have a bedwetter and I wasn't always getting the pee smell out of the clothes so I started using a cup of vinegar. When I washed whites I mixed the bleach and vinegar and it made the clothes smell amazing. So now I use it in every load and cut way back on how much soap I use.
I was reading the instructions to my Maytag a few weeks ago, and the booklet suggested about one cup of bleach, HOT water and running a full tub wash cycle while the machine is empty will keep it clean. If you still have your instruction book, look there or call the manufacturer. I do it all the time.
I run a full cycle empty with white vinegar. Plus I use vinegar in the rinse cup instead of fabric softener for every load.
After you try one of the above good suggestions, make sure you wipe dry underneath the rubber seal around the door to avoid any mildew from forming. I also often leave my washing machine door open, even though it is close to the back door/garage entrance. It's wise to air it out for the above-mentioned reason plus the seal lasts longer.
