Kool-Aid works great to dye clothes pens.

If you want to make them dark just add les water to the Kool-Aid .

These tips will help too. Either method is good, but they say Rit dye works better than food coloring.

And, of course, you can thin down any latex or water-based paint and just paint them. Whatever you do, just seal the clothes pins so they won't fade. Best wishes 😇

I used thinned down acrylic craft paints since I had such a variety of colors on hand. They turned out great. My husband had cut off the top part that you squeeze to make them shorter for hanging snapshot. After I dipped them into the acrylic paint I clipped them onto a piece of cardboard so the inside would dry faster. Blessings.
