You can use Sharpies or craft paint. To make them permanent. Set the tiles in a cold oven on a cookie sheet. Turn the oven on to 300 degrees. Let the tiles bake for an hour. Then turn the oven off. Let the tiles cool in the oven. Take them out when the oven is totally cooled.
i've used enamel paint on tiles to put on my backsplash. I bought it at walmart in the craft section along with acrylic paint bottles they sell. the lids have an
E for enamel. Clean the tile with white vinegar first to get rid of any grease from hands. You bake it in regular oven to set it, or can let it air dry and cure for 27 days. They looked great!
