make a mixture with cream of tartar and lemon juice,baking soda and white vinegar,plain white toothpaste,any of these should be kept on long enough to aid in the removal of the rust
There are commercial products that remove rust but you'd need to read the instructions to see if it can be used on your sink as they are quite powerful. Seems you'd also need some repair to prevent future rusting.
It's just as easy to buy a new Porcelain sink they start a about 20.00 and go up from there. Don't forget to replace the water lines at the same time with flex lines, get rid of the worn out copper lines
I use a product called Iron Out. Works very wel.
