I Am in My Element Rescuing Furniture and Bringing Them Back to Life.

Born to an artist, I have always found myself sketching, painting & designing in school, my career and now in my home studio! I've given up the canvas and interior spaces and turned to furniture to apply my skills. I wrote my thesis on sustainable design which I apply to all my projects and the deep respect I have for history & trees (I know that sounds odd!) has resulted in my family being surrounded in beautiful vintage & antique furniture from as far back as the 30's. I am in my element with candles burning, jazz playing and covered in paint...

Love your furniture. I too, am in the process of learning to work with furniture. My first piece is a toddler bed I got from Craigslist, complete with mattress. Im repurposing it into outdoor furniture, a chair and ottoman (from the bed part and mattress, and reinforcing the main support pieces with 2x2s. As luck would have it, I bought its sister, the single bed, on Craigslist, from someone else, which will be turned into a bench. Ive ordered fabric to cover 1/2 the matress to make a cushion for the ottoman.
