I would like my unfinished basement to look a little nicer and I think with the walls painted and the floor it would help out a lot, I appreciate any advice on the floors and also what kind to buy and the best brand. Thanks in advance :)

We used the epoxy flake kit and I love it! It has stood up well over several years and the flakes of color make it look much nicer than just a painted floor. The process is easy and it is done with one coat. You can check out the product at www.epoxy-coat.com and several stores carry it now too.

I'd also suggest a 1 part epoxy paint for this project.

I'd clean the floor of any oil or grease spots and dirt. You can paint the floor with Rustoleum water based driveway paint. It has great coverage, comes in several colors, and is very durable. Excellent drying time. Well worth every penny and the time & effort. Best of luck. (remember to adhere floor pads to the legs of your furniture to prevent marking up your floor)

Thank you! I love the sound of durable and good dry time because I need both :)
