Wandering jew
Wandering Jew
We used to call it Wandering Jew. It does like shade & water. It is easy to grow, but unless you like in Lower GA or FL, subtropical, it will freeze in the winter. There are a few called Wandering Jew. One looks fuzzy all over. Pretty plant.
Wandering Jew - The botanical name is Tradescantia pallida.
It is not Wandering Jew. The first Hometalker had it right: persicaria red-dragon
wanderimg jew
Wandering Jew does not produce flowers.
not Wandering Jew - one it doesn't get that tall, and two, it does not flower - the one that does produce the pink flowers is Purple Heart -- Two different plants - see Anna Bailey's answer. WJ is Tradescantia -- PH is Setcreasea
My wandering jewelry gets little pinkish purple flowers
Well then I must have been doing something wrong because I never got flowers on mine.😐
Thanks for all the comments! I believe the Red Dragon is the right answer. I live in PA, and this does survive our cold winter. Thanks again everyone!
It looks like wandering jew but the leaves look thinner.
I have tons of jew because I ignored a pot for a long time. They thrive with neglect and do flower. Very easy to propagate too. Jew does freeze but if you keep the roots from freezing, it will come back. Low light, great for porches or indoors.
This looks like Wandering Jew
