The woven plastic cane on my outdoor furniture is broken and rotten. The frame is very sturdy steel. What can I use to replace the plastic cane?
Other than composite, your choices would be treated wood or vinyl... with the price of lumber, It's hard to know which is less expensive
Spend the money and get the composite that looks like wood. In the long run, if you are staying in that house, it is worth it...
I agree with Claire. The composite is more expensive, but you save money on stains, cleaners, sealers, etc over the years. It is much more durable and easy to take care of as well.
