My septic mound is just sand. Is there anything that will grow on it?

I am in Zone 8. Want something that hides it and does need mowing.

I assume does not need mowing. Put down a layer of soil and plant ground covering. Fast and furious is mint. I have regular, spearmint and lemon all over a sloping hill in my yard.
