Can too much coffee grounds be detrimental for your garden?

    Coffee grounds are not detrimental unless the plant you are placing them around needs a soil pH which is more on the alkaline side of the scale. Plants that are "acid loving" like azaleas and roses can benefit. I don't like putting down coffee grounds because they can become moldy. I prefer to reuse the coffee grounds to make a weaker solution and water the plants with that. You can add coffee grounds to a compost pile instead.

    Yes if over applied it is very acidic
